Not all that long ago, both Evans & Grand Island were similar communities. They both had about the same population and both were waterfront communities.
Grand Island is gaining population while residents continue to leave Evans.
In Evans, the election cycle banter is about how to attract businesses and people to come to our town.
In Grand Island, the discussion is about how to slow down a fast growing town.
Decades of mismanagement has Evans in an Abyss out of which will be a difficult climb.

Unless Evans is willing to cut spending, the town will have much difficulty competing with towns like Elma & Grand Island.
