Patrick Henry’s famous quote “The liberties of people never were, nor ever will be, secure, when the transactions of their rulers may be concealed from them” is a warning not heeded in the Town of Evans. A root canal is more pleasant than trying to pry documents out of Evans Town Hall.
It is so bad that even the New York State Committee On Open Government ( NYS COOG ) encouraged compliance with the law!
