On WKBW TV: “They have all rights to come to the town board and take Privilege of the Floor and ask us questions. I answer the questions.”

[ NOTE: Since (First Speaker) Erie County Comptroller Stefan Iwan Mychajliw has heaping praise on Mary Hosler, he was allowed to exceed the three-minute limit. ]
Several residents pointed out her statement on WKBW but as we know here in Evans, a politician, and “The Truth” is, too often, mutually exclusive.
As several speakers exceeded the three-minute limit, the Evans Police Officer assigned to the meeting slowly approached speakers from behind. Since the supervisor successfully “encouraged” speakers to end their comments, there was no incident.
The fun began after Privilege of the Floor was closed. Mary Hosler attempted to answer a few select questions. Some of her statements were “truth-challenged”! From his seat, Pete Bogolski took exception. Mary Hosler, while the rest of the board sat in silence, had the police remove Bogulski from the Town Hall!
Other towns allow you to ask questions at any point during a meeting. That is “open government”. Other towns never closed meetings during COVID-19. Hosler much prefers Zoom meetings with that handy “Mute Button”!
Hosler should, for full disclosure’s sake, change her surname to Marxist. Then, when residents are talking to “Mary Marxist”, they will know what to expect.

It’s time to rally Evans Residents to defend their rights & liberty.
If/when someone is “out-of-control” at a meeting, I’d agree they should be removed. When the “crime” is not complying with “Robert’s Rule of Order“, removing that person is a very poor decision by Supervisor Mary Hosler.
Lying is a much more serious offense than breaking a speaking rule. Maybe Mary Hosler should have removed herself from the meeting?! Lying on camera to WKBW is another example of why:
- The Buffalo Business Journal rates Evans the worst town in Erie County to live in!
- The NYS OSC gives Evans the third-highest fiscal stress score of any town in Erie County.
Evans needs change at the top. Evans needs to keep term limits.
