DragnetA 2023 Ray Ashton campaign ad titled “NO FALSE PROMISES” states he will “promote transparency in local government.”

His response to the payroll audit at the 10-2-2024 town board meeting was lacking. When Councilwoman Macko raised the subject, Supervisor Ashton stated that he was still “fact-finding” and that the issue would be discussed later.

Let us not confuse Ray Ashton with Joe Friday (Dragnet). The NYS OSC gave him the “facts” on problems with the town’s payroll practices. He needs to read the report.

He uses a famous Evans trick to delay and hope residents forget.

Ashton, Wilson, and Reitz are representing the party bosses.

If there are problems with payroll, odds are there are more accountting problems.

Maybe it is time to switch to a local government business manager model and take the day-to-day money management away from self-serving politicians?

Listen to Ray Ashton at the 10-2-2024 board meeting below. The only good news is that the “recall the supervisor” sign is still in my shed!

Ashton is not acting in the best interests of Evans Taxpayers.

I answer the questions.
I feel like a broken record.

The Mary Hosler video is 17 seconds long. The Tommy George video is 36 seconds long. Can you watch these two short videos and tell me that Evans has open government?
