The NYS Coastal Management Program requires “Environmental Justice“.
Most projects require a State Environmental Quality Review or SEQR – There are positive and negative declarations. A positive declaration is more detailed and requires input from the public.
Given that the old water treatment plant is likely an environmental wasteland, it will be interesting to see how the Town of Evans addresses “Environmental Justice”.
