Under past supervisors, the motto for elected officials was always “I work 7 – 24”. Under the law, elected officials can set their own work schedule. Elected officials are REQUIRED to keep a log of their hours worked. The board is required to establish standard work days for elected and appointed officials by adopting a resolution. The Standard Work Day and Reporting Resolution for Elected and Appointed Officials (RS2417-A) must list the employee title and the number of hours in the standard work day for that title.
